"I advocate for a cost-effective, patient-centered, evidence-based care, where patients are cared for as unique individuals, respected and treated with compassion through their most vulnerable times."

Mission Statement

En Español | Patient-Centered Care focuses on a patient’s unique needs, so that every person is treated as an individual beyond their symptoms and their illness. Patient-centered care operates under the belief that every person is entitled to medical care that reflects their individual preferences, needs, and values.

Too often, our healthcare system hinders our capacity for self-determination, prioritizing money above the individual and profiting from keeping us sick. Many Americans are unable to afford the exorbitant price of a hospital visit, or the ever-rising cost of medication, many times patients are not just exploited with unreasonable charges, but also receive a treatment or medication that was not the best for their recovery.

In a system that won’t support us, we must take control of our health management and become educated about our options, but this is often difficult and tiresome. It is my goal to assist patients to navigate the complex medical system, also to provide them with tools to search and evaluate the information about their treatments, to further discuss with their medical provider and better choose a medical care that aligns with their preferences and values.

My mission is to provide tools and resources to patients, in order to enable them to receive appropriate individualized care, promoting a Patient-Centered Care approach.
